Miso Tasty is the UK's first dedicated miso brand. We launched in 2014 with a range of instant miso soups.
This packaging was created to be sold in retail situations, in packs of 4.
Miso Tasty wanted to communicate through the branding and packaging that these products are authentically Japanese, and are also modern and approachable. The bright red and white colours demand the customers’ attention, while the miso bowls in different colours highlight the different flavours available.
This simple carton has a crash lock base and a matt finish to underline the clean, Japanese design of the product, and to echo the linear lines and bold but simple colouring of the brand's logo. This carton has been designed to be bright and bold to reflect the brand's personality, and to stand out on the shelves.
Each flavour of miso soup has a different shade of colour on the bowl patter on the pack, whilst the red banner runs through all Miso Tasty's packaging, the website, and all marketing. The split between the red banner and bowl pattern continues round the entire carton to provide a calm sense of space.
The simple folds in the carton makes the box feel almost as if it is an origami carton, which is in keeping with the Miso Tasty's handmade, artisanal Japanese products.
