DaVinci is a well-known pasta brand in the US which prides itself on its authentic pasta imported from Italy. Through research, it was concluded that the pasta category is overwhelmingly comprised of blue packaging, which made DaVinci pasta blend right in with its competition in-store. So the overall challenge of the project was to design an eye catching visual language that would allow DaVinci pasta to stand out on the shelf amongst competing pasta brands. In doing so, the goal was to elevate the identity of the brand and give it an upscale & trendy, yet fun voice.
