Designed by Tessa Simpson, United Kingdom.

I was approached by a local producer (Charlie) to create a simple packaging label for his free range eggs that are sold daily. I came up with the name Chuck’s Clucks, based on Charlie’s nickname, and designed a simple logo that creates an egg shape from the two C’s of the product name. I used simple, but characterful typography to convey the necessary information, with a nod towards the organic origin of the product by using an ochre/yellow colour. Overall the high contrast of the design and the minimalist approach enables the packaging to stand out from other free-range egg packet designs.
